Shandon Golf Club is seeking a Senior Greenkeeper or Apprentice to fill a recent position vacancy at the club. The successful candidate will be someone seeking the next step in their career, have a passion for turf, and a keen interest in Golf. Working in a small team of 4 you will be involved in various projects including Irrigation, Tree removal, Gardening, as well as current turf maintenance. Also, an opportunity to be exposed to online record-keeping and H&S. The ideal applicant should possess;
- Currently training in Turf Management or wanting to start this process
- A strong work ethic and good communication skills.
- Enjoy working outdoors and in a team environment.
- Possess a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Keen Interest in golf.
Benefits
Free Shandon Golf Club membership, a settled team environment, all training and free parking. This is a fulltime role at 40 hours per week. Weekend work will be required on a rotational based system where you will be paid an overtime rate. You will be paid a competitive hourly rate that reflects your current skills and experience.
Shandon Golf Club is passionate about its golf course which is well known for it’s excellent greens. Located centrally in Petone, the course is a short travel from Wellington Central or the Hutt Vally. Shandon Golf Club has many upcoming course development projects which will be exciting to be involved in.
